When you think of going for a manicure or pedicure, you're probably thinking about how relaxed you'll be, how nice it will feel to be taken care of and pampered for a little while, and how great your nails will look afterwards. What you're probably not thinking about is the potential for picking up a bacterial or fungal infection is the place you've chosen failed to properly sterilize all of their equipment before your appointment.
That's one thing you'll never have to worry about at Chateau Ridge Salon & Spa! We fully sterilize all of our instruments in a dental autoclave machine, and we disinfect all surfaces and tubs in between clients. Knowing that you're well looked after here means you can completely relax and enjoy the pampering!
Here is what we'll be doing to ensure your comfort and safety during your appointment:
For each client we use a brand new file and buffer.
All salon tools are fully sterilized for you. We sterilize our instruments in a dental autoclave machine and open these sterilized packages up in front of you - so you know they're sterile!
Prior to any pedicure we inspect clients' feet and legs. Feet and legs are at a higher risk of developing infections, and your health is top of mind for us!
Things to know before going for a pedicure:
Don't shave right before coming in for a pedicure. Shaving creates micro-tears in the skin that increase your chance of infection.
Do not go to a nail salon if you have cuts, scrapes or open wounds.
If you have athlete's foot, it's best to avoid coming in for a pedicure until the issue has cleared up. Did you know that Athlete's foot is contagious? Even with cleaning protocols, it's best to avoid coming in for an appointment.
